## What the Board Does
Members review medical content for clinical accuracy, consistency with current practice and safe framing: whether benefits, risks, limitations and alternatives are stated clearly, and whether readers are told when to see a doctor. A page with a medical review note names the approving physician and the approval date; a page without it has not yet been reviewed.

## How a Review Works
- **Preparation:** The editorial team prepares content from reliable sources and the questions patients ask most often.
- **Clinical reading:** A board ophthalmologist reads the draft and flags anything inaccurate, outdated or potentially misleading.
- **Approval:** The physician approves the content, asks for changes or rejects it; the clinical decision is final.
- **Name and date:** Approved content shows the reviewing physician's name and the review date, also included in the page's structured data.

## Regular Updates
Reviewed content is reassessed when medical evidence, clinical guidance or the clinic's own practice changes, and significant updates go through the same approval. Being on the board does not mean a physician will be a patient's treating surgeon; treatment is planned after an examination at the clinic.
