## Frequently Asked Questions

**Q: Why is eye surgery in Istanbul cheaper than in Europe?**
A: Staff, premises, advertising, taxes and social security cost more in Europe and clinics there perform fewer treatments; higher volume pays off the same equipment faster and gives surgeons more experience.

**Q: Are flights included?**
A: No. Everything on the ground is included: transfers, hospital accommodation and three meals a day.

**Q: How do I pay? Is there a card fee?**
A: In cash or by credit card on site after arrival, no prepayment. Cards are accepted, but international banks usually add a commission charged by the bank, not the clinic.

**Q: What if the examination shows I am not suitable?**
A: No surgery is performed. You pay only for the examination, the eye tests carried out, the airport transfer and the nights actually stayed.

**Q: Can I decide against surgery after the consultation?**
A: Yes. The final decision is always yours.

**Q: Can I fly soon after the operation? Do airport scanners affect a lens?**
A: Most patients fly 24 to 48 hours after surgery after the check. Cabin pressure and security scanners have no effect.

**Q: Can I combine the treatment with a holiday?**
A: Yes, keeping the first days light and avoiding dusty or strenuous activity.

**Q: What if surgery is postponed for medical reasons?**
A: The clinic helps rearrange the plan where it can.
