Medical Review Board

Health articles and treatment pages published by Kudret Göz İstanbul are read and approved by our ophthalmologists before they carry a "medically reviewed" note. This page explains who sits on the board, what they check and how the process works.

What the board does

Board members review medical content for clinical accuracy, consistency with current practice and safe framing: whether benefits, risks, limitations and alternatives are stated clearly, and whether readers are told when they should see a doctor.

A page that carries a medical review note names the physician who approved it and the date of approval. A page without that note has not yet been reviewed, and we do not claim otherwise.

How a review works

1. Preparation: The editorial team prepares the content from reliable sources and the questions patients ask most often.
2. Clinical reading: An ophthalmologist on the board reads the draft and flags anything inaccurate, outdated or potentially misleading.
3. Approval: The physician approves the content, asks for changes or rejects it. The clinical decision is final.
4. Name and date: Approved content shows the reviewing physician's name and the review date; the same information is included in the page's structured data.

Regular updates

Reviewed content is reassessed when medical evidence, clinical guidance or our own practice changes. Significant updates go through the same approval process.

Being listed on the board does not mean a physician will be your treating surgeon; your treatment is planned after an examination at our clinic.
